GREATSUNPV recently completed the delivery of a complete containerized energy storage system to a client in Estonia. The system combines a 500kW Megarevo hybrid inverter with a 1.2MWh GREATSUNPV lithium battery pack. It’s designed for commercial and industrial use, targeting three main pain points: high electricity bills, grid instability, and the need for reliable backup power.

How the battery system is built

The battery bank uses our own 51.2V 314Ah LiFePO4 modules, arranged in a straightforward configuration:

This setup gives a stable DC voltage platform, solid cycle life, and the safety you expect from LiFePO4 chemistry. It’s built for daily charge-discharge in demanding commercial environments.
Why this combination works

The Megarevo inverter handles intelligent energy flow – between the battery, grid, and any on-site renewables (like solar). It’s not just a dumb switch; it actively decides when to charge and discharge based on real-time pricing or user settings.
The whole system is pre-assembled in a standard container, plug-and-play. No complicated on-site construction, no endless wiring.
Solving real customer problems in Estonia

The client was facing two specific issues. First, rising industrial electricity rates with sharp peak demand charges. Second, seasonal grid fluctuations – not full blackouts, but enough voltage dips to worry about sensitive equipment.
With our system, they now charge during cheap off-peak hours (typically nighttime) and discharge during expensive peak periods. Estimated savings: 20–25% on monthly electricity bills. On top of that, it acts as an automatic backup. When the grid wobbles, the system switches to island mode and keeps critical loads running – particularly important in colder climates where heating can't afford to fail.
What made the difference: our approach

We didn’t just ship a box. Our engineers studied the client’s actual load profile, available space, and local weather – especially low-temperature performance. We tweaked the battery management logic and ran remote simulations before production.
During installation, our team provided live video guidance to local electricians. No expensive overseas trip needed, but they still got real-time support.
